PHYMI, an embodied AI startup developing agents capable of operating in real-world environments, has secured close to $100 million in seed funding.
IDG Capital led the round. Yunqi Capital, DiDi, Fosun RZ Capital, Glory Ventures and Hesai Technology also participated.
Founder and Background
Liu Nianqiu founded the company earlier this year. He previously served at DeepRoute.ai, an autonomous driving company.
Product Focus
PHYMI is building what it calls “Physical Agents” — systems designed to understand goals, navigate spaces, manipulate objects and complete tasks in open, dynamic environments. The company distinguishes itself from purely software-based AI by focusing on physical world interaction.
The funding will support core technology research, real-world data infrastructure, product engineering and team expansion.
Embodied AI has drawn increasing investor interest as researchers push AI systems beyond text and image processing toward environments requiring spatial reasoning and physical manipulation.
